Who Was Ravana?

(According to the Ramayana🙂

* Ravana was the King of Lanka, a mighty and learned ruler of the Rakshasa (demon) clan.

* He ruled from Lankapura, believed by some to be located in modern-day Sri Lanka.

* Ravana was a devotee of Lord Shiva, a master of the Vedas, music, and even flying machines (called Pushpaka Vimana).

* He abducted Sita, wife of Lord Rama, which led to the epic war narrated in the Ramayana.
